A Dayton family is asking for help after a fire kills a mother and two of her children.

Kennetha Gay, her 4 year-old daughter, Mirissa Gay, and her 3 month old son, Kenron Treadwell, were all killed on November 12, after the fire started around 9 p.m. at their home on East First Street in Dayton.

Two children escaped the home, including Gay's 10 year-old daughter, Mya Davenport.

Although she was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, Mya is expected to make a full recovery.

Family members said in the wake of the fire, they are focused on her future and want to give Mya every opportunity her mother would have wanted her to have.

"For her future, she wanted the stars," said Sherman Biggs, Kennetha Gay's brother. "She wanted her to reach for the stars and go as far as she could go. She had big dreams for her".

If you would like to help you can make a contribution at any Chase Bank branch, under the "East Dayton Fire Victim Fund".

Family members said the money will all go towards Mya's education and future.

Tonight, the cause of the fatal fire remains under investigation.
