Redhawks win at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Allen Roberts scored 20 points and Bill Edwards added 17 to lead Miami (Ohio) to a 72-59 victory over William & Mary on Wednesday.

   Brandon Britt had 17 points, Marcus Thornton 15 and Kyle Gaillard 12 for William & Mary (3-1).

   The RedHawks (2-2) outscored the Tribe (3-1) by 11 points in the second half to secure the victory. The win came mostly from the free-throw line. The RedHawks made 19 of 26 to the Tribe's 9 of 17.

   Quinten Rollins made a 3-pointer 3:28 into the second half to give the RedHawks a 40-30 advantage. From a 48-43 lead with 10:34 left, Reggie Johnson, Geovonie McKnight and Edwards scored a basket each for a 54-43 lead, and the RedHawks boosted it to 62-48 with 5:49 remaining.

   The Redhawks' Edwards hit a 3-pointer with 3 seconds on the clock for a 26-24 advantage at the break.
