BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Booboo Gates scored on a 37-yard interception return and Matt Schilz threw two touchdown passes as Bowling Green defeated Miami (Ohio) 37-12 Saturday.

The victory ended a streak of seven losses at home for the Falcons (4-3, 2-1 Mid-American Conference) against the RedHawks (3-4, 2-1).

Miami, which trailed 17-6 at halftime, made it 17-12 early in the third quarter. Zac Dysert's 64-yard completion to Nick Harwell set up a 2-yard scoring pass to Andy Cruse, but a 2-point converstion try failed.

After Schilz's 13-yard touchdown pass to Chris Gallon made it 24-12, Gates intercepted Dysert on Miami's next play for a 31-12 lead after three quarters.

Bowling Green's Anthon Samuels carried 22 times for 171 yards and caught a 7-yard scoring pass. Schilz completed 20 of 27 for 235 yards.

Dysert, who was averaging 286 passing yards per game, was held to 198 on 17-of-31 passing with two interceptions.
