Marion Local wins 2nd straight state title

MASSILLON, Ohio (WDTN) - Marion Local has won the Division VI state football championship.

The Flyers defeated Newark Catholic 28 to 21. They scored with 21 seconds left on the clock.

Hunter Wilker scored 3 touchdowns, including the game winner, with just 21 seconds to play.

Marion also got a great performance from Adam Bertke, who gained 102 yards on the ground and passed for 166 more.

It’s the second consecutive title for the Flyers who finished the season 13 and 2.
