7 on 7 high school passing camp at UD

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - High school football 2-a-day practices will begin 2 weeks from Monday, but the preparation for the 2012 season is already underway.

Over a dozen Miami Valley high school football teams were at Welcome Stadium Friday afternoon for the UD Flyers' annual 7 on 7 Passing Camp.

The event spurs a little competition while at the same time, helping teams get their timing down in the passing game.

"Any opportunity you have to get your team together on the football field is important," said Coach Andy Aracri, Fairmont High School, Kettering.

"It helps us with our passing game, our play action game," said Coach Earl White, Thurgood Marshall High School, Dayton.

Dayton Head Football Coach, Rick Chamberlin, is proud to put the event on every year and the high school coaches are thrilled at the chance to get in a little extra work.
