JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have released offensive tackle Guy Whimper, quarterback John Parker Wilson and defensive back Brandon King.
Whimper started 22 games over the last three seasons for the Jaguars, including 15 in 2011 and six last season. Most of his work came at right tackle, where he was supplanted in the lineup last season by Cam Bradfield last year.
Wilson spent most of last season on Jacksonville's practice squad. He was active for one game, Oct. 28 at Green Bay, but did not play. The former Alabama starter has not played in a regular-season game in his three seasons.
King spent the final seven weeks of last season on Jacksonville's practice squad.
