Miami nips Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Allen Roberts scored 22 points and made two free throws with 6 seconds left to help Miami (Ohio) edge Buffalo 58-57 in a Mid-American Conference game on Saturday night.

   Miami led 51-31 on Geovonie McKnight's free throws with 11:01 left, but Buffalo cut the score to 54-42 at 2:57. Buffalo took a 57-56 lead on Jevon McCrea's free throws with 1:01 remaining, but Roberts saved the win with his foul shots.

   Will Felder scored 12 for the Redhawks (6-8, 1-1), who snapped a two-game losing streak. It was Miami's first victory at Buffalo since 2008.

   McCrea had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls (5-11, 0-2), and Cameron Downing score 11 points. Buffalo has lost three in a row.

   Miami shot 47.7 percent from the field (21 of 44) and held Buffalo to 37 percent (20 of 54). Buffalo was 2 of 19 on 3-pointers.
