The New York Knicks began play just percentage points ahead of Indiana and six and a-half games behind the first-place Miami Heat, who are working on a 13-game winning streak.

DETROIT (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks are playing at Detroit and looking to keep their NHL-record season-opening point streak intact. The league leaders are off to an 18-0-3 start.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — The co-leaders are on the course at PGA National for final-round play of the Honda Classic. Michael Thompson and rookie Luke Guthrie shared a two-stroke lead after 54 holes.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Stacy Lewis struggled to a 1-under-par 71 in the final round of the HSBC Champions but it was enough to earn her sixth career title on the LPGA Tour. The 28-year-old American finished one-shot better than Na Yeon Choi after starting play tied with the South Korean golfer.

AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) — NASCAR's top circuit is racing today at Phoenix International Raceway. Veteran driver Mark Martin has the pole.
