COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Chimdi Chekwa has a big decision coming up, and it's not what to
get with that gift card to an electronics store.
The Ohio State cornerback is among 10 juniors who have filed
paperwork with the NFL Collegiate Advisory Committee to find out
their status for next spring's draft. The information helps
underclassmen determine if they should stick around for their
senior season or if there is a market for their skills in the
pros.
Coach Jim Tressel did not disclose the names of the juniors, but
he did say they are starters. That would mean defensive ends
Thaddeus Gibson and Cameron Heyward, linebackers Ross Homan and
Brian Rolle, cornerbacks Chekwa and Devon Torrence, tailback
Brandon Saine, wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher and offensive
linemen Bryant Browning and Justin Boren.
