DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 News Today has 5 things you need to know for Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

Today is Halloween and officials with AAA are reminding parents it's the deadliest day of the year for pedestrians. So to make sure you and your kids are safe for beggars' night officials remind you carry a flashlight, only cross streets at marked intersections, and don't run, walk instead.

Today is the deadline for former NCR employees to decide whether they want to take pension plan payouts. NCR moved its headquarters from Dayton to Georgia in 2010.

Local UAW members in Springfield will protest a Romney/Ryan Campaign ad, which they say falsely claims GM and Chrysler are outsourcing jobs.

Governor John Kasich and Senator Rob Portman will rally for Mitt Romney at 11:30 a.m. at the Springfield Victory Center.

A special ceremony with full military honors will mark the grave of nation's first enlisted airman. Corporal Edward Ward's grave remained unmarked at the Dayton Memorial Park and Cemetery. Today's ceremony starts at 1 p.m. and will be attended by members of Ward's family and Congressman Mike Turner.
