DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - We've been getting quite a few inquiries about Issue 2 and what a yes and no vote actually means come election day.

We did some checking for you and here's what we found:

A YES vote on Issue 2 would be to enact Senate Bill 5, the collective bargaining reform law passed by the Ohio Legislature and approved by Gov. John Kasich.

A NO vote on Issue 2 would be to reject Senate Bill 5.

It is also important for voters to remember that Issue 2 on your ballot is the Senate Bill 5 referendum. Issue 5 is NOT the referendum on Senate Bill 5. Issue 5 will be a local issue and will change depending on each county.

Here is the official wording of how this issue will appear on the ballot in November:

Issue 2

Referendum

A majority yes vote is necessary for Amended Substitute Senate Bill No. 5 to be approved.  Amended Substitute Senate Bill No. 5 is a new law relative to government union contracts and other government employment contracts and policies.

A " YES" vote means you approve the law.

A " NO" vote means you reject the law.
