KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - Kettering Police and Crime Stoppers are working to track down a suspected thief.

Police say a woman had her purse stolen from Trader Joe's on East Stroop Road around 12:30 Wednesday.

Investigators say the suspect then used a stolen credit card from the purse at the nearby Kroger store on Stroop Road.

Police say she bought a $100 gift card from Kroger.

The suspect is described as a woman in her 40s with dark hair, a medium build and wearing a maroon/purple and white ski jacket.

The jack is very distinctive in the surveillance photos released by police.

Call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867 if you recognize the suspect.
