DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A tip to Crime Stoppers ended with stolen cash back in the hands of the rightful owner.

Robert Watkins was sentenced Monday for trespassing.  It's part of a plea deal.

Police say Watkins followed a man home from the store and robbed him of his disability check in July 2012.  The crime happened on Jersey Street in Dayton.

The tip led police right to their man.  Watkins was sentenced to 30-days in jail.  He must also pay the victim back the $600 that he stole.
