DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police are again asking for your help solving a double family tragedy.

A father and son were both gunned down in separate incidents.

It was just after noon on September 11, 2008 when Kendrick Pope, 16, was fatally shot behind Jefferson Montessori School in the 1200 block of North Euclid Avenue in Dayton.

Police believe Pope had been robbed and got caught in the crossfire when gunshots rang out.

Days later, more gunfire claimed the life of Pope's father, Dwight Hardy, 34, as he was attending a prayer vigil for his slain son.

Call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP if you have any information about these crimes.

You can remain anonymous and possibly earn a cash reward.
