China Arnold guilty of aggravated murder

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - China Arnold was found guilty of aggravated murder for killing her child.

As Judge Mary Wiseman read the verdict around 11:40 a.m. Friday morning, China Arnold dropped her head in disbelief.

Judge Wiseman did not lift a gag order, so Prosecutor's and Arnold's attorneys could not comment.

Arnold was accused of killing her 28 day -old daughter, Paris Talley, in a microwave oven back in 2005.

This was the third trial for Arnold.

She was found guilty during a second trial, but the verdict was thrown out due to prosecutor misconduct.

The first trial ended in a mistrial.

Arnold could receive the death penalty. Jurors will return on Monday to start to the sentencing phase.
