Prism Brass is a large brass ensemble from the United States Air Force Band of Flight, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
The United States Air Force Prism Brass Ensemble is an ensemble whose performances run the gamut of the musical spectrum for audiences of all kinds. The group was formed in 2010 and is the first large brass ensemble of its kind in the United States Air Force. From community relations performances to high level military functions, this exciting group demonstrates the hallmarks of quality, innovation, and entertainment.
Inspired by Mnozil Brass, an Austrian brass septet the band hosted in March 2010, Prism Brass travels “outside the box” to find new ways to connect to their audiences. They also utilize a rhythm section and vocalist to give this brass group unequalled versatility and flexibility. Prism Brass has performed concerts and master classes at many colleges and universities to include: the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Western Michigan University and the Kentucky Music Educators Association conference.
Led by Technical Sergeant Eric Knorr, this dynamic group is sure to provide top-notch, high-energy entertainment for the whole family.
