LAKEVIEW, Ohio (WDTN) - An 86-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife were taken to a local hospital, after police say they were assaulted by 19-year-old Robert Morris.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Mon. night at the intersection of Sycamore Ave. and Oak St. in Lakeview. That's on the southeast side of Indian Lake in Logan County.

Police arrived at the home after a 911 call came in reporting a disturbance. Officers found that a home invasion had taken place and the couple had been beat up.

Luckily, people nearby had seen Morris running.

An officer from the Russels Point police department eventually caught him and took him into custody.

Morris has been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, felonious assault, and possession of criminal tools.

We don't have word yet on the condition of the elderly couple.
