DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 News Today is on your side with 5 things you need to know for Thursday, September 29, 2011.

1. New rules on the handling of Ohio farm animals that take Thursday will make the state a leader in setting standards for livestock care, according to state officials, industry representatives and animal welfare advocates.

2. The Dayton Masonic Center opens to the public for tours from 5 to 8 p.m.

3. A free health fair will take place at Dayton's Life Enrichment Center on North Findlay Street starting with a free breakfast at 8 a.m.

4. An all-day radiothon will be going on Thursday on Mix 107.7 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

5. Krispy Kreme and 7-Eleven will give away free coffee on Thursday as part of national coffee day.
