Police arrested a woman early Friday morning after they say she passed a fake bill at a bowling alley.

Heather Knight was taken into custody near the Thunder Bowl on Main Street.

An employee at the alley says Knight paid for drinks with a 50 dollar bill that he checked and found to be fake.

He called police and confronted Knight about it, but she slipped out of the building through a side door.

The worker says she also had someone cover her license plate with a jacket so he couldn't read it.

Police were able to catch up with Knight's car moments later about a mile down the road.

Knight was found with other bills, but police aren't sure if they're counterfeit.

The people at the bowling alley are just glad they didn't get stuck with the fake bill.

"It makes me feel pretty good because people trying to pass off fake money never helps anything," Jimmy Segi, who spotted the bill, says. "That means we would have had to eat the 50 and that's 50 less dollars for us."
