DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Wet roads are being blamed for two crashes that happened early Wednesday morning on Interstate 75.
In one wreck a driver lost control on I-75 South near the Needmore Road exit after going too fast for the conditions, according to troopers. The car hit the barrier wall causing minor damage to the bumper.
One person was taken to the hospital from the wreck because of back pain.
A second crash happened a few hours later near the Northwoods Boulevard exit of I-75. Two cars were involved in that incident. One of them lost control in the rain and smashed into the other one.
No word on whether anyone was injured.
Troopers say the wrecks and the rain are reason enough to slow down.
"Anytime you're driving in wet weather it's always important to remember the speeds posted are for when conditions are ideal," Trooper David Brown says.
