XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - A school district facing a financial crisis lays out its plan for success.
Xenia Community Schools let parents in on its five year strategic plan for overcoming its money woes. The plan of attack has parents in good spirits, after the district was forced to deliver bad news earlier this year.
In January, the district announced it would close Shawnee and Arrowwood Elementary Schools. It also cut 76 positions.
Craig Wright, a parent, tells 2News, "Yeah there are concerns, but my larger concern would be if those problems are not being addressed. I think we're doing that in a proactive way."
Xenia Community schools will be holding three more meetings on this topic. The next meeting will be next Tuesday at Xenia High School from 7:15 to 7:45 am.
