SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Police investigate the death of a well-known landlord.
Officers were called to a home near the intersection of Limestone and Liberty Streets just after 6 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a woman accused of shooting a man.
Inside, they found a man dead.
Roommate, Charles Higginbotham tells 2News the victim's name is Tim Radford.
Higginbotham says Radford was well known for his willingness to help others in the neighborhood.
In fact, at one point Radford took in a third roommate, a woman.
Police won't say who was home at the time of the shooting, but Higginbotham says Radford had been having trouble with that third roommate.
Higginbotham said, "I usually be right in the middle of it. I wasn't here tonight, I was at work."
Officers say this was not a random crime, and they believe they have the only suspect involved in custody right now.
An autopsy will be scheduled for later this week.
