DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton firefighters face yet another arson investigation.
Fire broke out in a condo complex near the intersection of Holt Street and Salem Avenue.
Smoke filled the area around a 10-unit condo complex just after 4 Monday afternoon and it didn't take long for firefighters to figure out that the blaze started on a rear decking area in a trash can.
In a neighborhood just six or seven blocks from a massive arson fire that destroyed five homes in the Five Oaks area in August, arson becomes a familiar phenomenon.
Neighbors say this unit was occupied, but no one was home at the time of the fire.
Still, officials say they're worried that the fire bugs are getting braver.
Damage is estimated at 10-thousand dollars, and those left to clean up say they'll be watching.
Dayton fire fighters have battled more than one hundred arson fires so far this year.
The fire chief believes there are more than just one arsonist setting the fires.
Athletes, movie stars, singers and more predict the outcome of the big game.
