DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Verizon Wireless announced that customers in the Dayton/Springfield area will have access to its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in more places when the company expands its 4G LTE network on Thursday, September 20 in Xenia, Urbana, Greenville and Sidney.
The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network covers more than 75% of the U.S. population and has more coverage than all other U.S. wireless providers combined. Verizon Wireless has announced its intention to provide 4G LTE coverage in 400 markets across the United States before the end of 2012.
Verizon Wireless first launched its 4G LTE network in Dayton and Springfield in June 2011, and included the communities of Trotwood, Englewood, Centerville and Beavercreek.
In addition to expanding its 4G LTE network in the area, Verizon Wireless is also expanding and introducing the network in Marion County, Ohio, on September 20.
