DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A 19 year old Xenia girl managed to get away from a man who lunged at her with a knife, at Ray's Drive -Thru on Xenia Avenue on Thursday.

At this time, Dayton police said they were not sure if this was an abduction or a robbery attempt.

The victim told police the man tried to push her into the back room of the business.

The victim was working with her mother when the crime took place.  She said the suspect asked her for a mountain dew, then tried to grab her, as she turned to get him the drink.

The teenage victim fell and screamed, and was able to get away.

Dayton Police today released surveillance tape of the attack and hope it will lead to identification of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a skinny man with a muscular build.  He had a tattoo on his arm, and was dressed in a blue cut off tank top, and blue jeans.

Police said he was driving a golden-brown mini-van, that appeared to be a newer model Dodge Caravan.
