DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Spencer Wells is on the path to college. Now he just has to figure out where that path is taking him.
"I've applied to three or four different colleges. They span from Connecticut to Wyoming," Wells said.
He's already been accepted to Wyoming University, but the $100,000 price tag has him looking at all his options.
In the meantime, the entire family has gone to school trying to find ways to pay for Spencer's education.
"We've gone through and put things on Craig's list and ebay. We're trying to sell some vehicles. We took some clothes to the consignment store," said Savings Race participant, Theresa Staffan.
"Team Spencer is doing great," said Savings Race Coach Ashley. "We've paid off $6,600 in credit card debt and we've saved over $1,400 so far."
"I think the Savings Race has put us all on the same page were all working together to help everyone in the household," Staffan said.
