DAYTON, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) - An Englewood manufacturer has kicked off a project that will add 20 jobs,

City officials say SK Tech broke ground this week on a 30,000-square-foot expansion at its site in the Otterbein Commerce Park. This marks the second expansion for the company — which produces small-press automotive parts for Honda and Toyota vehicles — since it opened in Englewood in 2002.

The project is expected to be complete in June and bring SK Teck’s workforce to more than 100.

“This expansion is quite a boost to the economy of the entire area,” said William Singer, economic development director for the city.

Englewood is the only U.S. location for SK Tech’s parent company.

One of SK Tech's customers is Honda Motor Co. The announcement comes just days after Honda announced it would i nvest nearly $100 million into its Shelby County plant to build the company’s next-generation powertrain technologies.

Bruns General Contracting Inc. is the contractor on the SK Tech project. Bruns also is building a new 140,000-square-foot facility in Vandalia for All Service Plastic Molding Inc.
