DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - More than 100 parents spent time in a classroom for a very important lesson.

Dayton Public Schools kicked off its parent leadership training Saturday at the Kroc Center at 1000 N. Keowee St.

The four session symposiums were designed to inform and empower parents. The overall goal was to get parents more involved in their child's schooling and become better leaders.

The program was initially developed by parents for Cincinnati Public Schools.
