KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - As Matt and Candice Roberts settle into their new Kettering home they realize their dream of home ownership has come true.

Before the savings Race began in September of 2009 they we're forced to live in seperate homes of reletives because of mold in their tiny apartment.

" We knew we had to live under the same roof and we were willing to do anything to make that happen" said a determined Matt Roberts.

So, this very private couple decided to take a very personal matter, their finances, and put it on display during Wright Patt Credit Unions second edition of their Savings Race.

" We knew the good of our life was more important than putting it on TV" said Candice Roberts.

Within seven months, the Roberts were able to erase over six thousand dollars in debt while improving their savings enough to move into their new home.
