COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) - In a one-on-one exclusive interview, Ohio Governor John Kasich sat with 2 NEWS anchor Dan Edwards to talk about his first seven months in office.

Kasich shared the reasoning behind his bold moves to eliminate Ohio's $8.7 billion deficit, which included ending the controversial collective bargaining law, pitting Kasich against the police officers, firefighters, teachers, and government employees.

He shared his plans to possibly consolidate school districts and local governments and why he rejected the high-speed rail project that some felt could have revived our region.

Kasich also laid out his plan to attract businesses to Ohio while helping townships, villages, towns and cities in the Dayton region to work together.
