LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two people are dead in what police describe as a murder-suicide.

Lebanon police said Troy Wolverton, 28, of Springfield stabbed Shena Lee Nolan, 32, of Lebanon, then killed himself after leading police on a chase.

Just after 6:30 Wednesday evening, Lebanon police and medics were called to to the area of 474 Georgetown Dr. on a report of a stabbing.  They found Nolan on the ground in the back of 478 Georgetown unit B.

Witnesses told police about a blue Camaro leaving the scene.  Warren County Sheriff's Deputies found the car a short time later and that's when the chase began. Deputies caught up with the car on the ramp from State Route 73 to I-75.  Once the car was stopped, Wolverton was found to have slashed his own throat. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Nolan died at Middletown's Atrium Medical Center, where she was taken by medics. Investigators said she had been stabbed her at least ten times.

One of her children was also hurt, although officers say the child was not stabbed.

Investigators said Wolverton and Nolan had been involved in a relationship that broke up in November.
