DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - As you hit the road this morning, be aware there may be some hidden slick spots on roads across the area.
Right now, temperatures are above freezing across most of the Miami Valley, but the recipe for black ice -- temperatures below freezing plus yesterday's rain and leftover snow -- sent one driver to a hospital overnight.
The SUV ended up in a ditch in Butler Township after a run-in with slick road conditions.
Police said the the driver was trying to pass another car when he lost control, sliding off Martindale Road.
From the Storm Team 2 Forecast Center , Meteorologist Jamie Jarosik says the day will gradually warm to a high of 45 degrees, with another round of rain likely this afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to run about 10-degrees above normal highs today, and it will get even warmer for Friday and Saturday.
The rain chances continue, with the best chances coming through the first part of Friday and again late Saturday.
