ATHENS, OH (WDTN) - A meningitis outbreak at Ohio University has expanded as state health confirms an 8th case on the Athens campus.

The Center for Disease Control connects all the cases because the bacteria causing them has the same genes. Scientists are now trying to find the source of what they're calling an outbreak.

They've opened a website to help answer questions. You can find it at cdc.gov/meningitis .
