Two local grads injured in Cincy fire

CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN) - Two local high school graduates were critically injured in a New Year's Day fire near the University of Cincinnati campus.

Officials confirm Ellen Garner, 20, and Chad Kohls, 21, are hospitalized.

2 NEWS has learned Garner is a graduate of Tippecanoe High School.  Kohls graduated from Centerville.

Both are students at the University of Cincinnati.

Investigators say the fire was caused by a space heater.
