HUBBARD TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - Two suspects are facing drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized what they said was marijuana, hashish, hash oil, and four large marijuana-laced brownies.
Troopers stopped a car from Texas for a marked lanes violation on Interstate 80 north of Youngstown early Thursday morning.
Troopers said they detected a strong odor of raw marijuana, and a search turned up the drugs, paraphernalia, and marijuana cultivation items.
The driver, Bryan Joseph Candito, 25, of Los Angeles, Calif., was charged with possession of liquid hashish, trafficking in drugs and possession of criminal tools. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, cultivating of marijuana, and possession of marijuana.
Candito's passenger, Danae Kaitlin Bryan, 19, of Wyomissing, Pa., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Troopers valued the drugs at $63,000.
