LANCASTER, Ohio (AP) - A 20-month-old boy has died a day after being pulled from an in-ground pool at his baby sitter's home outside of Lancaster.

The toddler, Troy Wotruba, died at a Columbus hospital on Wednesday. Police say he wandered away from his baby sitter Tuesday afternoon and was later found at the bottom of the pool.

The baby sitter performed CPR on the child until firefighters arrived to take him to the hospital.

Sgt. Lee Hawks of the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office tells The Columbus Dispatch it was "a freak accident, a tragedy."
