Task Force One: briefed and deployed

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS has made contact with Ohio Task Force One.

The 80 member group left from Kettering on Monday for the east coast.

They are now stationed at Fort Dix in New Jersey.

They are joined there by 380 task force members from Ohio and Indiana.

Officials said their immediate mission is for several task force members to be lowered into flooded communities by helicopter to help people get out of their flooded homes.
