BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Two Ohio college students hurt in a highway crash that killed three of their sorority sisters and the wrong-way driver who caused the wreck are back in school while still trying to heal physically and emotionally.
Kayla Somoles and Angelica Mormile were hospitalized for months after the March 2 crash in northwest Ohio near Toledo. A driver traveling the wrong way on an interstate in northwest Ohio slammed head-on into the car carrying the five sorority sisters from Bowling Green State University. The women were on their way to catch a flight for spring break.
Media outlets report both women were determined to return to school. They say they have learned not to take anything for granted and are still trying to cope with the loss of their friends.
