CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) - The Celina Police Department went after some stolen property Thursday. They ended up with some marijuana too.
Officers served a warrant at the home of Chad Ackley, 23, at 813 Greenbriar Court, after receiving a tip that Ackley had stolen property.
Investigators say Ackley admitted that he had a cash box full of stolen cash that was taken during a break-in at a local business. Officers found the box, but also 500 grams of pot valued at $2,500.
Ackley is being held at the Mercer County Jail on a preliminary charge of receiving stolen property. The police are still gathering evidence about the drug and the break-in.
