BEALLSVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will focus on coal as he begins a three-stop Ohio bus tour on Tuesday.
His campaign said Sunday he will be at American Energy Corp. in Beallsville at 12:30 p.m., then stop by Tom's Ice Cream Bowl in Zanesville later that afternoon. He concludes his swing through eastern and southern Ohio's Appalachian region with an evening rally in Chillicothe.
The campaign had said earlier he will be joined by Ohio Sen. Rob Portman on his stops Tuesday. Portman was among running mate contenders Romney passed over in favor of Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.
Ryan was headed Monday to Iowa to campaign, while Romney was scheduled to be in Florida.
President Barack Obama planned to campaign in Iowa, with Vice President Biden in North Carolina.
