BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - The national Romney/Ryan campaign is thanking a UD student for making the 45 millionth voter contact for the campaign. U.S. Senator Rob Portman who has been at Mitt Romney's side this election year stopped by the Greene County location where Kayla Tillia volunteers to personally applaud her.
A phone system was able to help locate Tillia as the one who made that call, but the word "contact" is being used because the large number includes door-to-door efforts as well as making phone calls.
Tillia is a criminal justice major from Cleveland, but she enjoys political science and believes it's important to get involved in the election. She told 2 NEWS she's worried about graduating and not being able to get a job. She said she thinks with Mitt Romney in The White House her job prospects would improve.
After speaking with volunteers and 2 NEWS, Senator Portman headed to Cincinnati. Find out what he had to say about Romney's performance in the presidential debates. Portman was his debate coach.
