Power still out for thousands in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Thousands in Ohio remain without power days after two weekend thunderstorms left many in the dark.

The bulk of the outages belong to customers of American Electric Power in central Ohio. The company warned power might not be back until the end of the week.

Dayton Power & Light is restoring power for fewer than 300, and Duke Energy has about  11 customers without power.

Ohio is under state and federal emergency declarations following the storms, which originally knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of residents in the state.

Millions of homes and businesses in several other states were affected by Friday's storm, including West Virginia and Illinois.
