Ohio youth corrections agency moves training site

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The state's juvenile corrections agency says it will save $300,000 a year by relocating its training academy to the adult prisons department's training site in central Ohio.
The Department of Youth Services says its training academy will move from a site in Delaware County to the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction training site in Orient, southwest of Columbus. The change is effective Monday.
Youth Services Director Harvey Reed says cost reductions help maximize the investments for the youth the department oversees.
The move also could allow for more shared services between the departments and the possible sale of the Delaware County property.
