COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio's elections chief is ready to share details of a new initiative he says will simplify the elections process in the presidential battleground state.
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted's office said the initiative would be unveiled Thursday in what it billed as a "major announcement." The office said the effort will change how voters prepare for elections.
The next major election in Ohio is Nov. 6, when voters will cast ballots in one of the country's most contested U.S. Senate races and help choose the president.
No Republican has ever taken the White House without winning Ohio, and only two Democrats have done so in more than a century.
