GEORGETOWN, Ohio (AP) - Republican Senate candidate Josh Mandel plans to campaign across south and eastern Ohio over the next two days.
His campaign says the Ohio treasurer plans to focus on energy policy in Appalachian Ohio visits. His first stop Thursday is at a Georgetown restaurant, in Brown County. Then he heads to Adams County, followed by other southern and eastern Ohio stops. Some details were still being worked out earlier this week.
The campaign swing also will provide an early sampling of how voters are responding to last week's Supreme Court ruling that largely upheld President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. Pro-Mandel ads have highlighted Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown's support for the overhaul.
The Brown campaign has criticized Mandel for a barrage of special interest-funded attack ads.
Brown has been leading polls.
