CINCINNATI (AP) - Ohio Gov. John Kasich thinks Cincinnati is a "cool, happening place," and that Ohio can be the best state in the country.
Just don't get him started about Indiana.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the first-term Republican took a shot at Ohio's western neighbor in a speech Monday night to the Hamilton County GOP.
Kasich says Ohio has more to offer, with great cities, diversity, health care and location.
He says Ohio "is not Indiana," where once someone goes to Indianapolis, they'd wonder where else to go. Kasich asked: "Gary?"
Kasich used a similar line to The New York Times for a story last year on Ohio's economy and the presidential election. That time, instead of Gary, he reportedly he threw up his hands and asked: "Terre Haute?"
