Judge: Puccio competent for Aug. trial

URBANA, Ohio (WDTN) - The man prosecutors said killed and dismembered an Urbana women will be tried in August.

In a hearing in the Champaign County Common Pleas Court., June 27, Matthew Puccio, 25, was determined to be competent to stand trial.  Judge Roger Wilson set a trial date for the week of August 13.

Puccio is accused, along with four others, with the murder of 21-year-old Jessica Sacco in March, 2011.

Police said Puccio stabbed and suffocated Sacco, whose body parts were found in Ohio and northern Kentucky.
