ST. PARIS, Ohio (WDTN) - A house fire in St. Paris July 24 has been determined to be the result of arson, according to Shane Cartmill of the Division of State Fire Marshal.
The vacant house was reported on fire around 4 a.m. and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
Cartmill said because the fire is an ongoing criminal investigation, specific details about how and where the fire started are not being released at this time.
A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible.
Anyone with information about the fire should call the Division of State Fire Marshal at 1-800-589-2728 or the Champaign County Sheriff's Office at 937-484-6091.
