TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police have arrested a man on a murder charge after authorities found a woman's naked, mutilated body in a northwest Ohio apartment.
The Blade newspaper reports that police were sent to the west Toledo apartment at 9: 30 a.m. Sunday after a caller told authorities that a woman was found with her chest "open." Authorities arrived at the apartment to find 49-year-old Joan Annette Watson deceased.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
A message seeking additional details was left Monday morning with Toledo police.
A Lucas County coroner's investigator told the newspaper that the homicide was one of the most graphic ones he's seen in his 20 years of work.
A resident at the apartment building told police he didn't hear any commotion on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
