MARION, Ohio (AP) — Police in central Ohio say a father was accidentally shot by his 3-year-old son.
Marion police say they were called to a home Sunday afternoon and found a 24-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right side. He was taken to a Columbus hospital and underwent surgery. He was expected to survive.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that the handgun used in the shooting and several other guns were removed from the house. No names were released.
The country children's services agency was notified.
